Position: Secretary

Mrs. Shannon Skipper Campbell retired from teaching in June of 2025 and immediately moved into our secretary position. Before retiring, she taught math at Gadsden Middle School for 11 years then went to Floyd Elementary School to teach Pre-K 4 for several years. After spending a year in the position of Gadsden City School system-wide math coach, her love of children and the classroom brought her “home” to Gadsden Middle School in 2011. Mrs. Campbell received the honor of being selected as the 2018-2019 Teacher of the Year. She has been a member of the Leadership Team, head of the math and science departments, and the Hospitality Committee. Mrs. Campbell holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from the University of Alabama. She enjoys pickleball, camping, fishing, boating, golfing, and Alabama football. An alumni of Gadsden City Schools, Mrs. Campbell lives in Gadsden with her husband, Ron, and their four-legged babies; Coosa, Bonnie (a three-legged rescue), Little Bit, and June.
