Lloyd Newcomb

I have been an educator since 2015, beginning my career as a Physical Education teacher before transitioning to science education in 2023. I am passionate about helping students learn, grow, and develop a curiosity about the world around them. My background in physical education also sparked a lifelong passion for fitness and wellness. I enjoy sharing that passion with others and encouraging people to develop both a sound mind and a strong, healthy body.

Outside of the classroom, I love traveling, exploring new places, and creating memories with my family. I am married to my wife, Cassie, who is also a school counselor, and together we have two children, Rowen and Emersyn. As a family, we love discovering new places, experiencing different cultures, and making memories along the way. We hope to continue traveling throughout the United States and around the world while sharing our journeys and experiences with others.

We are proud to call Rainbow City, Alabama, home and are members of Cornerstone Church in Gadsden. Whether I am teaching science, encouraging someone in their fitness journey, or exploring somewhere new with my family, I believe in the importance of continued learning, personal growth, and making the most of every opportunity life provides.
